Bars Rolling Simulation with Respect to the Influence of Friction Coefficient in Conditions of Light Section Mill
Original language description
The objective of the works described in this paper is to define an optimal friction coefficient when simulating steel rolling in roll grooves in conditions of light section mill at the ŽDB GROUP a.s. using simplified processes of inversion analysis. Operational experiment was implemented to monitor technological parameters when rolling round bars of 20 mm for more precise specification of the boundary conditions of simulation. The input consisted of billet with dimensions 100 x100 mm and 2300 mm in length, steel grade S235JR. By the experiment there were obtained cross-sectional shape after each reduction, record of a time image of the rolling as well as temperature of workpieces between the individual passes. Two mathematical simulation were made. First simulation, with variation of Tresca friction coefficient value from 0.1 to 0.9, was compared with the prints of workpiece cross-sectional shape after each roll pass. The remaining boundary conditions were set approximately to groove r
