Hot Ductility Differences of Ti-Nb Micro-alloyed Steel and Steel with Mo-Cr Addition
Original language description
Plasticity of two different steel types was investigated in the range of 650 °C to 1300°C at two deformation rates (0.1 mm.s-1 and 5 mm.s-1). Micro-alloyed steel Ti-Nb with 1.6 wt. % of Mn and steel Mo-Cr with 0.46 wt. % of Mo and 1.1 wt. % of Cr showeddifferences in strength levels and in the reduction of areas. All parameters were obtained by use of tensile tests. The work elucidates the reasons which were leading to dissimilarities of behaviour in the hot ductility both in the low and in the high temperature branches by use of metallography.
