The Most Frequent Mistakes at Process Capability Analyses
Original language description
Paper deals with the most frequent mistakes, which occur at process capability analyses in practice. Procedure of process capability analysis is divided into eight steps and in the every step the most frequent mistakes, which can occur in given step areidentified. Individual mistakes are discussed. On the practical example of capability analysis of cold rolling process of ?L? profile it is illustrated possible impact of insufficient exploratory data analysis on achieved results. At first the procedureand results of standardly performed process capability analysis with regard to achieved profile rectangularity is described. Presumptions about process statistical stability and data normality were met in this analysis. After it the occurrence of one outlier caused by gross error of measurement is simulated and impacts of not detecting this outlier to achieved results are evaluated. In the particular situation outlier occurrence does not make possible to evaluate process capability at al
