Original language description
During directional solidification of Ni-22Al-1B alloy, structure of alloys changed when the velocity of directional solidification increased. These changes are the greater in the range of velocities about structural transition from cellular to dendritic.Together with the change of structural phases, primary dendrite arm spacing of Ni-22Al-1B alloy decreases with increasing velocity of directional solidification. This dependence is linear in steady state of dendrite growth. This is consistent with conclusions of Kurz-Fisher and of Hunt models.
