Potential of Dynamic Simulation in Project Management
Original language description
The paper presents an overview of main authors? research results in the area of dynamic simulation utilization in project management. The objective is to propose a methodological framework for application of dynamic simulation in project management processes (PMI project management standard was used for that purpose) and project life cycle. In case of the processes approach, the paper researches the potential of dynamic simulation for project performance modelling and simulation and for project scope modelling and simulation. First, PMI processes which provide entry information for project performance modelling and simulation and PMI processes which use the simulation outcomes for project performance improvements are determined. Second, the necessary dynamic simulation activities that should be included in particular PMI processes for the purpose of project scope improvements are defined. In the event of the project life cycle, the degree of dynamic simulation utilization in the indivi
