It is not possible to determine from classical projections of the areas of liquidus, solidus and solvus of ternary diagrams the share of phases at progressive crystallisation of alloy of the given composition or to obtain the values of effective distribution coefficients. For this reason a program is being developed for simulation and modelling of ternary systems and for related calculation of shares of phases during solidification or for calculation of the values of effective distribution coefficientsin dependence on temperature.
