    Microstructural characteristics of Ti6Al4V alloy after heat treatment

  • Original language description

    The thesis deals with effect of hydrogen on the microstructure properties of Ti6Al4V alloy at elevated temperature. Specimens of Ti6Al4V alloy were subjected of heat treatment in hydrogen or argon atmospheres. Then was accomplished metalographic study of structure on the optical microscope and on scanning electron microscope too. It was found, that hydrogen stabilizes beta phase and softens microstructure.
