Original language description
The electrochemical behavior of Ti6Al4V alloy has been studied in 0.15M (0.9%) physiological sodium chloride solution at room temperature (22?1°C). The experimental samples of Ti6Al4V alloy were in the different state of thermo- mechanical treatment: as-received and hot rolled. The microstructure of alloys was observed using light microscopy after polishing and etching in Kroll´s reagent. The corrosion rates were estimated by the Tafel extrapolation method. The aim of the present work was to evaluate the microstructure effect on electrochemical behavior of Ti6Al4V alloy.
