Comparison of connected compensation unit for induction machine operation
Original language description
This paper deals with research in the field of power factor compensation for induction motors. The main goal was to verify the effect of the compensation unit connected to the induction machine during start-up and no-load state. The connected compensation unit consists of either power capacitors or a combination of power capacitors and detuned reactors. Individual measurements were made on an induction motor with a nominal power output of 4 kW. As part of the measurement, the connected compensation stages for total harmonic distortion were also verified. In the final part there is a comparison of individual variants and recommendations for further research in the subject area. (C) 2022 IEEE.
