Application of supercritical carbon dioxide in design and recovery of engineering carbon and catalytic nanostructured materials for VOCs abatement

  • Original language description

This contribution was presented as an invited oral presentation at the 4th International Conference on Carbon Chemistry and Materials 2024 (CCM-2024) in Barcelona (Spain) in the term 11-13 November 2024. Due to advantageous physicochemical properties of supercritical and pressurized hot fluids and technology progress in design of high-pressure equipments using these fluids with recycling, they may find sustainable utilization in many applications in the field of waste material valorization, nanostructured material chemistry and design and heterogeneous catalysis. This contribution (oral presentation) presents the results of the spent carbon adsorbents regeneration after xylene adsorption and the crystallization of TiO2-CeO2@VUKOPOR(R)A ceramic foams designed for catalytic oxidation of dichloromethane by using supercritical carbon dioxide, supercritical carbon dioxide with the co-solvent and pressurized hot water treatment.
