Interconnection of lean, Industry 4.0 and circular economy principles-the way to Industry 5.0 (case study)
Original language description
This paper is based on the authors' idea that combining principles of Lean, Industry 4.0 and the Circular Economy approaches create conditions for developing Industry 5.0, i. e. a more resilient, sustainable and human-focused industry. A systematic literature review related to the interconnection between these three paradigms is an integral part of the paper. Based on this literature analysis, the research gap 'Integration of Lean Manufacturing, Industry 4.0 and the Circular Economy and its synergy-the way to Industry 5.0' was formulated. Then partial research goals, i.e. description of specific conditions in the textile industry, influencing possibilities for integration of Lean, Industry 4.0 and the Circular Economy, and presentation of the case study representing the unique practical application of such integration in the Czech start-up textile company, which can serve as an example of successful stepping out on the road to Industry 5.0, were set and achieved.
