Original language description
The purpose of this paper is to investigate the relationship between pressure of demand in the labour market and the wage rate in the Czech Republic using monthly time series from January 1995 - December 2001. The pressure of labour demand is express using adjusted time series of the registered unemployment rate and vacancy rate. We provide cointegration test on these variables and then we estimate two Error Correction Models and investigate short-run and long-run movements between wage rate - unemployment rate and wage rate-vacancy rate. We also analyse the variances decomposition of endogenous variables and the impulse response functions for the effects of shocks to these variables
