It is time to accept that Learning Management Systems are by their nature predetermined only to replicate the old mental model of education. Authentic Learning in this era of ICT requires a new model, thereby, making it possible to overcome the centuries-old paradigm which now stands in the way of achieving revolutionary changes in education. This article describes the practical realization of a model with students at the center of activities in an online graduate studies course in the system Moodle. AUTHENTIC LEARNING with the use of LMS Moodle is with certain limitations possible but strained. A more natural solution for LEARNING PERSONALISATION is the use of Web 2.0 and its goal oriented services. Je potřeba akceptovat, že řídící vzdělávací systémy mají svá omezení, jsou určeny k pouhé replikaci dosavadních vzdělávacích modelů třídy a učebnice. Autentické učení se v době ICT si žádá model nový, v jehož centru stojí student. Jen tak lze překonat staré paradigma vzdělávání a dosahovat revolučních změn determinovaných nástupem ICT. Prezentace srovnává možnosti LMS Moodle, i když v netradičním pojetí se studenty, tj. s právy zápisu v online kurzu, tedy s právy, jež tradičně přísluší jen učiteli. Studenti vystupují jako tvůrci online kurzu, který je jim prostředkem k jejich učení se. Možnosti tohoto přístupu převyšují tradiční online kurzy v LMS Moodle, avšak přesto se projevují jistá omezení ve srovnání s využíváním nástrojů Web2.0 pro vzdělávání jako je wiki, blog, Startweb aj.
