    The aim of this paper is to describe the proposed methodology of the competency models creation which was the base for the creation of competency models for given work positions in the organization. There are explained used methods in detail in the introductory part of the paper and then the issue of competencies and competency models and their use in practice is explained. In the application part of the paper, the detail process of the competency models creation is described using quantitative pairwise comparisons (so-called Saaty&apos;s method), which belong among the most commonly used methods for determining the weights and it is used in the process of AHP (Analytic Hierarchy Process).
