Original language description
Public administration transparency is considered as one of the fundamental requirements in increasing of effectiveness, efficiency, economy and quality of administration at local and central level. Transparency is strongly supported by comfy and open access to information. Thus it helps to improve the quality of public administration; it allows better public control and compliance of public interest. One adequate form which provides public access to information is the usability of information and communication technologies in the public sector. This paper describes the application of the transparency principle at the local public administration level. The target is to explore the offering and availability of information, published by selected municipalities through internet, categorization of offered information and settings of indicative benchmarks for the research objectification.
