Original language description
Knowledge is supposed to be the future leading and the most critical factor in shaping economic life. European Union has presented a number of various reforms and long-term initiatives to secure Europe's future economic growth. But the Europe's higher education system is still struggling and the performance gap between European and American universities remains too large. The paper applies a non-parametric approach (DEA) to assess the relative technical efficiency of higher education systems with a particular focus on EU/USA comparison.
