Econometric analysis of influencing factors of EU emission allowances
Original language description
The aim of this paper is to analyze factors which influence the European Union Allowances spot prices. This involves also the strengh of the dependency. Factors which were explored were as follows, nominal GDP, industrial indeces, other emission allowances types (like CERs), energy prices. The method which was used for the mentioned analysis is the regression analysis. The research confirmed that the strongest relationship can be found between EUAs and CERs, other factors are less important. Another interesting result is the fact that the external shocks (a both legislative and market) have stronger effect on the EUAs' price development than explored factors.
