MADM Methods: Applying Practical Decision Making in Business Processes.
Original language description
The aim of this applied research is to focus on real-life application of multiple attribute decision making (MADM) methods and their adaptation in a way which can be acceptable for business practice. The study will point out main advantages and disadvantages coming from literature review and practical application on Balanced Scorecard (BSC) type of performance measurement and strategic decision making. However, most of these methods were implemented only as an example how it could work in practice, butthey were not investigated as a part of continual business decision making. The results of this study should uncover biases and obstacles that have to be addressed when using MADM methods under real conditions by ordinary business without a help of a specialist. A practical application is shown on a comparison between traditional BSC approach and BSC extended by MADM methods.
