The Impact of Economic Integration on the EU Trade Structure
Original language description
The most important part of economic integration is trade integration. The dependence of the EU member states on international trade is different and corresponds to their economic structure. The object of the paper is to find out if economic integration led to their trade specialisation or trade concentration and if the EU foreign trade has a more intra-industry or inter-industry character. The analysis covers the period of 2004MINUS SIGN 2013 and was carried out in two parts of the total EU trade, i.e. intra-EU trade and extra-EU trade by using statistical indexes.
