Original language description
In this paper we analyze the current situation regarding Big Data technologies in Slovak and Czech companies. The first part of the paper deals with the theoretical background of big data as well as with the motivation, i.e. why it is useful to implement Big Data technologies in a company. To analyze the current situation about Big Data we apply interrogatory method. We apply this interrogatory to multiple working areas. We perform the analysis of answers to find out that even though Big Data is relatively known term for respondents, very little subjects have these technologies implemented in their companies. These statements are confirmed by hypothesis testing. Finally, we present the use of this information for the future.
