We investigate the singular di erential equation (p(t)u0(t))0 + q(t)f(u(t)) = 0; t > 0 with the initial conditions u(0) = u0; u0(0) = 0: The function f is continuous and has three simple zeros. The functions p; q are continuous on [ 0;1), positive on (0;1) and p(0) = 0. The integral R 1 0 ds p(s) may be divergent which yields the time singularity at t = 0.
