Effects of wet-grinded superfine waste glass on the fresh properties and reaction characteristic of cement pastes

  • Original language description

This work aims at evaluating the influence of wet-grinded superfine waste glass powder (WGP) as a supplementary material in cement based materials. WGP with different fineness was evaluated and incorporated into cement with a proportion of 20%. The results showed the WGP particle had regular shape when the wet grinding duration reached 60 min. WGP dramatically improved the workability of fresh pastes regardless of the fineness. The setting time of WGP incorporated pastes was shortened if the median grain size was reduced to 5 mu m. The WGP could accelerate the reaction of cement, higher chemical shrinkage and larger electrical resistivity. (C) 2020 Elsevier Ltd. All rights reserved.
