Reaction mechanism and surface species in direct NO decomposition over K/Co4MnAlOx mixed oxide

  • Original language description

NO belongs to a group of oxides known as NOx. Direct catalytic decomposition of NO to nitrogen and oxygen is challenging solution for decreasing NOx emissions since no reduction agent is needed. Although reaction was tested over many types of catalysts, and reaction mechanism has been described by several authors, sufficiently active and stable catalyst is still the aim of research. In our previous work, it was found that alkali metal promoted Co-based mixed oxides are suitable for direct NO decomposition.
