REACTION MECHANISM OF NO DECOMPOSITION OVER K/Co-BASED MIXED OXIDES
Original language description
Results were presented at the Workshop on Tailoring reaction pathways by catalysis (Liblice, 3.-6.9.2023)Nitric oxide (NO) belongs to the group of NOx (NO+NO2). Many catalysts have been already studied for direct NO decomposition (e.g. noble metals, oxides, mixed oxides, perovskites, zeolites)1 and different reaction mechanisms and active sites were descibed. Direct NO decomposition reaction involves four basic steps:Adsorption of NO - Reactions of adsorbed NO on the surface leading to formation of NOx species - Decomposition of NOx species - Desorption of N2 and O2The aim of this work is to investigate the reaction mechanism of direct NO decomposition over K/Co4MnAlOx using in situ DRIFTS, TPD-NO and transient state studies.
