    Contribution in the proceedings. Metal oxides obtained by calcination of hydrotalcite-like precursor have been found as effective catalysts of NH3-SCO process. Both the Mg/Al ratio and temperature of calcination strongly influence the activity and selectivity. In general, an increase of calcination temperature and decrease of Mg/Al ratio increased selectivity to dinitrogen, what is related to formation of spinel phases (e.g. CuAl2O4) in the Al-rich samples calcined at 800 oC. Addition of Ce also improves the activity of mixed metal oxides, which is related to formation of easily reducible cerium oxide species.
