On Friday February 15, 2019, the 8th year of the Czech-Polish Catalytic Seminar - CzePoCat 8th that is focused on materials, their characterization and use in catalysis and photocatalysis, took place in the Institute of Environmental Technology, VSB-TUO. The seminar was attended by 57 participants, of which 27 were foreign. The seminar was opened by prof. Ing. Kamila Kočí, Ph.D. from the Institute of Environmental Technology, followed by lectures of doctoral students and postdocs from the Jagiellonian University in Krakow, Marie Curie-Sklodowska University in Lublin, Technology University of Lodz, Polish Academy of Sciences in Warsaw, University of Pardubice and VSB-TUO. In their contributions, young scientists presented the topics of their work focused on the application of catalytic and photocatalytic processes in environmental protection and renewable energy production.
