Study of transport phenomena at the interface of modified biological membranes by SPR method
Original language description
This paper describes the measurement of cuticular permeability for water of untreated and modified cuticles Ficus elastica leaves using the SPRi method. The aims of the work were focused on the preparation of cuticles, modification of their surface using chloroform (wax extraction), evaluation of surface morphology of the above-mentioned cuticles via SEM and subsequent measurement of their cuticular permeability for water in a unique SPRi flow cell. The results confirm the applicability of the method for evaluation cuticular permeability for water and further define the differences between cuticles with and without the presence of waxes on their surface.
