Effect of Co substitution in K/Co-Mn-Al mixed oxide catalysts on direct NO decomposition
Original language description
This contribution was presented as poster on School of Catalysis, 1. - 3. 6. 2021, Liblice, Czech Republic. Partial cobalt substitution in Co4MnAl mixed oxide catalyst with other transition element and its subsequent impregnation by potassium influenced some characteristic of prepared catalyst. Co substitution with other metal influenced not only pore size distribution, specific surface area but also acido-basic properties of catalysts resulting in positive effect on NO conversion and this effect was in order Mg > Zn > none-substituted 2K/Co4MnAl mixed oxide catalysts. Work function is not determining for NO decomposition reaction. Effect of potassium and zinc content in Co mixed oxide catalyst was also studied. No significant changes were observed in pore size distribution for all prepared Co-Zn-Mn-Al mixed oxide catalyst. Decrease of specific surface area was observed with increasing K content in catalyst, content of potassium was crucial for NO decomposition unlike Zn content.
