INFLUENCE OF ACTIVE AND PASSIVE STATES OF STRESS OF A PARTICULATE MATTER IN THE PARTICULATE MATTER STORAGE SILO
Original language description
The state of stress of particulate matters is key information for the design of an optimum storage silo. Knowledge of horizontal, or more precisely wall pressures, is necessary for dimensioning of the storage silo walls. We also design the necessary outlet opening seal, subsequent technological transport or other process device on the basis of knowledge of the vertical pressures. The state of stress of the particulate matter defines whether the storage silo discharge will be optimal, or if the particulate matter will have a tendency to create vaults or other flow failures.
