The elaboration contains fundamentals of modeling approach oriented onto thermodynamic analyzes. It is the next part of the monograph Unit Operations, and its main goal out energy analysis of chemical reactions in simplified combustion and gasifying technologies. Emphasized will be the so-called coal processing, which is the technology of synthetic gas and fuels (both, gaseous and liquids) production. The special approach of thermodynamic analysis has been described. it is based on the exergy method andallows investigation of any complex technological system consisting of arbitrary processes that are analyzed in the same way. The approach of modeling, analysis and rating has been proved many times, although not all processes could be described enoughgenerally. Many numerical examples have been presented and although they seen a little bit complex, in fact they are very easy to solve using simple computer programming language.
