This training course, delivered by experts from the HiDALGO2 CoE, provided a pathway from understanding building-level energy dynamics to performing city-scale energy simulations. Participants gained hands-on experience with the Ktirio Urban Building framework, integrating GIS, vegetation, scenario, and weather data to model energy consumption and environmental impact. The course also covered optimization of building envelopes and systems using HPC resources, data management for simulation results, and effective interpretation and communication of modeling outputs for urban planning and sustainable development.
