Original language description
Beneficial effects of Macleya cordata extract (MCE) on lipopolysacharide-induced demage to human gingival fibroblasts in vitro was studied. In the clinical part of study the antiinflammatory and analgetic effect of MCE in the treatment of complicated wound healing after tooth extraction (dry socket) was used. The results suggest that MCE attenuate inflammatory response and oxidative stress and thus may be helpful in the treatment of inflammatory conditions of oral tisssues as e.g. periodontitis and alveolitis.
