Adiponectin level and epicardial fat thickness in patients with obstructive sleep apnoea
Original language description
Obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) is an important risk factor for cardiovascular disease. Epicardial fat (ET) and adiponectin may be important link between OSA, and the accelerated atherosclerosis observed in these patients. This paper aims to evaluate the relationship between ET and adiponectin levels in patients with OSA. Methods: 60 male patients with an average of 55.5 9.2 years were enrolled in this study. All patients underwent a sleep study, anthropometric parameters were measured, laboratory analysis and echocardiography with ET measurements were performed.
