    Sociolinguistics, discourse studies, conversational analysis, pragmatics, all these linguistics disciplines deal with certain aspects of the connections between communication, or language, and power. Power and empowerment are also basic concepts in leadership studies. The interdisciplinary paper will explore how the linguistic disciplines methods can be used to explore leadership communication styles. It will also give short examples of possible leadership communication and language analyses.
