The article is devoted to the cultural analysis of traditional Ukrainian symbols based on the texts of Ukrainian folk songs. This article presents a brief description of Ukrainian folk - song heritage, makes the division into thematic genres and describes specific and stylistic features of each, and then analyses the most traditional mental symbols associated with everyday human life, with her activities, feelings, and attempts to understand the meaning of life and to find a way to harmony with the world. In her study, the author draws on numerous research results of philosophers and linguists on the formation of a symbol and linguistic view of the world of a certain nation, uses ancient texts of traditional Ukrainian folk songs of different genres for the cultural analysis.
