Two Hebrew texts translated from Latin are compared in respect of strategies that the translators adopted in order to cope with terminological problems. A selective translation of Aquinas' Summa Theologiae reflects the theological sensitivities of the Jewish translator. David ben David's tract on pestilence utilizes Latin sources in a pragmatic way.
