Pilgrimage Church of St. James the Greater and St. Anna in Stará Voda is one of the largest construction works of Bishop Karl von Lichtenstein-Castelcorno. It was built in the 1680s. Bishop involved in the construction and decoration of the churche the architect Giovanni Pietro Tencalla and a number of artists from the Lombardy-Ticino Lakes region. The chapter presents an overview of the building history and decoration of church interiors and evaluates this extraordinary building and patronage achievement in a broader context.
