Original language description
The Photo Album a / versus Crisis project is dedicated to the research of the photo album as a comprehensive tool of individual and collective representation, combining visual and linguistic strategies of documentation and communication. It follows three parallel levels - (1) historiography, (2) media, and (3) methodology. Its primary goal is to establish a functional platform for research on this type of composite historical materials in the Czech Republic. The third in a series of workshops focused on the management and preservation of photographic material (Petra Trnková, CVF), or the methodology of working with "problematic" material. It was held in cooperation with the CVF and included, among others, research in several locations - the collection of the Institute of Art History of the CAS, the collections of the National Museum in Prague (the Náprstek Museum, the Museum of the Workers' Movement).
