The Photo Album a / versus Crisis project is dedicated to the research of the photo album as a comprehensive tool of individual and collective representation, combining visual and linguistic strategies of documentation and communication. It follows three parallel levels - (1) historiography, (2) media, and (3) methodology. Its primary goal is to establish a functional platform for research on this type of composite historical materials in the Czech Republic. The first of a series of workshops focused on the methodology of processing the album as a socio-cultural artefact (Friedrich Tietjen, University of Vienna). It was held in cooperation with the CVF and included, among others, research in three locations - the collection of the Institute of Art History of the CAS, the Archive of the Security Forces and the Archive of the Jewish Museum in Prague.
