Original language description
This workshop offers students three tracks which they can choose from as a single path or a blend of different tracks. The first track is traditional academic writing, updated with information about open science, digital humanities, and the realities of getting published for graduate students. There is also a fictional track, where student can improve their creative writing or poetry, also with instructions for getting their work published or circulated in public. The final track is about creating multimodal narratives through comics, to be used for both science communication and storytelling. Students will get hands-on training for a range a different communication skills from fiction to non-fiction composition, as well as exposure to new media formats like comics. They will learn to work on digital platforms, like Padlet, and receive instruction and guidance on submitting their work to online and traditional print publications.
