Law and Economics: Is law one of the main factors determining the performance of an economy?
Original language description
The article analyses the relationship between law and economics through the insights and tools of economic analysis of law as a specifically developed field of study. The aim is to further discuss the topic and provide answers as well as further questions concerning the relationship between the two fields of study. In order to do that the methods of analysis, synthesis and deduction are used. The article is devided into introduction, then another part is devoted to the role of R.H.Coase in establishingthe relationship and measuring the impact of one field upon another.Then some further developed theories of economic analysis of law are discussed. The conclusion then provides some further insights into the current state of research and its applicationas well as the possible flaws as well as proposals for future development.
