The article presents the factors that contribute to family resilience. After the basic theoretical definitions stemming from domestic as well as foreign literature, we present a case report of a family bringing up a child with severe hearing impairment.This report demonstrates the importance of individual protective factors, described in the theoretical part, which may have a major impact on family resilience.
