X-RAY STRUCTURE OF [Cu(dimeen)(ox)(H2O)]2[Cu(dimeen)2](ClO4)2.
Original language description
The crystal and molecular structure of the title complex compound (dimeen = N,N-dimethylethylenediamine, ox = oxalate) has been solved by heavy atom methods and basic physico-chemical measurements have been made. It was found that the structure containstwo non-equivalent copper atoms in the slightly distorted square-planar for Cu(2) and square-pyramidal for Cu(1) coordination with deviations of atom positions from ideal Cu(1)N(1)N(2)O(3)O(4) plane smaller then 0.28 A.The results of magnetochemical measurements (#eff = 1.82 BM/294 K) correspond with assumption of copper in the oxidation state II. The value of molar conductivity in water (c = 10-3 mol/l, lM = 307 Scm2mol-1) confirms the 1:2 electrolyte with ClO4- group out from the coordination sphere of both central atoms; the characteristic absorption for this group at 1068 cm-1 and 620 cm-1 were also found in the IR-spectrum.
