Metabolism of polyamine oxidation products in plants - localisation of pea aminoaldehyde dehydrogenase activity
Original language description
We have developed a technique for specific detection of AMADH activity in polyacrylamide gels based on its ability to reduce nitroblue tetrazolium (NBT) as the final electron acceptor - the corresponding coloured formazan is generated. Using this technique, AMADH activity was visualised in cross sections of 7-day-old etiolated pea seedlings.
