The role of active oxygen species in defense of Lycopersicon spp. against Oidium neolycopersici.
Original language description
Infection process of Oidium neolycopersici on three Lycopersicon spp. differing in resistance response was studied. Production of superoxide anion, hydrogen peroxide and peroxidase were detected histochemically in infected leaves. High production of superoxide anion was observed mainly in higly susceptible accession L. esculentum cv. Amateur during first hours after inoculation. The production of hydrogen peroxide as well as increase of peroxidase activity was detected in resistant accessions L. chmielewski (LA 2663) and L. hirsutum (LA 2128) at 4-12 hpi. Presence of peroxidase activity was confirmed also in apical part of fungus germ tubes and inside dead conidia. Concentration of hydrogen peroxide, presence of lignin and changes of enzymatic activityof guaiacol peroxidase and catalase were measured. Increased soluble peroxidase and catalase activity in leaf extracts of resistant accessions correlated with necrosis in infection sites. In L. esculentum cv. Amateur neither hypersensiti

Role aktivních forem kyslíku v obraně Lycopersicon spp. proti Oidium neolycopersici
Czech description
Proces infekce Oidium neolycopersici byl studován na třech genotypech Lycopersicon spp. s různým stupněm rezistence k Oidium neolycopersici. Produkce superoxidového anionu, peroxide vodíku a peroxidasy byly detekovány histochemically v infikovaných listech. Analytickými metodami byly studovány: koncentrace H2O2, přítomnost ligninu a změny enzymatické aktivity guajakol peroxidasy a katalasy.
