The chapter is synthesising culmination of the book "Czech Geography at the Dawn of the Millenium", published for the 30th IGU congress in Glasgow in August 2004. The main aspects of three thematic fields (physical geography, human geography geoinformatics) are summarized. Finally there are outlined current trends of all three fields.

V textu jsou shrnuty hlavní aspekty tří tematických okruhů knihy - fyzická geografie, humánní geografie a geoinformatika. Závěrem jsou nastíněny trendy dalšího vývoje všech tří okruhů.
