Light collection optics for a measurement of the air fluorescence yield

  • Original language description

Air fluorescence yied is defined as the number of photons, produced by a charged particle, per meter of travel in the air. The excited molecules emit light in the near UV and in the visible region between 300 nm and 400 nm. We describe the simple light collection system for analysis of the faint signal.
