    The design, construction, use and efficiency of a heat-extractor are described. The apparatus was constructed for heat extraction of soil invertebrates from soil samples or sieved leaf litter. The presented apparatus is easy and inexpensive to constructand highly effective for the extraction of soil macrofauna, e.g. centipedes, millipedes, insects, arachnids and other soil invertebrates.
