    Threat of natural or anthropogenic hazards to the transport infrastructure and its vulnerability to these hazards have always been relevant topics. These issues are crucial in emergency situations, when it is essential to ensure the permeability of roadsand railways for an effective response. They are also very important for the planning of the transport infrastructure. It is crucial to minimize any potential damage to the roads or railways. This paper aims to present a simple model of identification of critical sections that may be threatened by critical situations. The case study of the Zlín region shows modelling procedures, possible outputs and their interpretations based on the events that happened in the past.
