Label-free electrochemical-immunoassay of cancer biomarkers: Recent progress and challenges in the efficient diagnosis of cancer employing electroanalysis and based on point of care (POC)
Original language description
The early detection of cancer is significant to have successful treatment of cancer-suffered patients. The latest progresses in molecular biology clarify that cancer biomarkers serve a crucial role in prognosis, diagnosis and affording understanding about etiology of cancer. Thus, there is a need for sensitive and easy diagnostics techniques which can determine multiplex tumor markers at low concentrations. Immunosensors have been promisingly applied in the clinical analysis field, making it qualified for accurate detection of cancer. This review is focused on cancer diagnosis through detection of cancer biomarkers by using label-free immunosensors. So, recent progress in bioanalysis of cancer biomarkers using biosensor technology was discussed. Finally, advantages and limitations of various strategies toward label-free immunosensing of cancer biomarkers were surveyed. So, various types of cancers (breast, prostate, ovarian, pancreatic and hepatocellular) can be diagnosis by labelfree immunosensor as efficient tools for point-of-care (POC) analysis.
